• For Parties, GIFTS or just because!! Many of Sharon's yummy foods including her Great homemade Scones and Clotted Cream, plus lots of delicious Gluten Free as well as Dairy Free and Vegetarian food and Bakery items will be Available soon! Most items can be shipped and all items may be picked up. Having a party at your house? We will do the work cooking and baking all you need to do is pick up your order, then sit back, listen to the glowing reviews, and enjoy your guests!

• Sharon is Gluten Free and has created a Gluten Free- Dairy Free bread that looks like, feels like, and tastes like bread! Bread that can be grilled and not fall apart; bread that when you eat it, tastes like 'are you sure I should be eating this?' it's so real and it's so very good!

• Sharon Gammell knows from experience that much of the gluten free and dairy free foods on the market, at best, are yucky, nasty and gross! Going out to dinner with-out a hassle when you are Gluten Free, much less Dairy Free, is near to impossible!  Well, here at Thayer's we changed that. You can attend any of our events or set up a private party and not be frustrated or have to worry about the menu.

• At Thayer's we will serve a completely Gluten Free and/or Dairy Free Breakfast for B&B guests just give us a minimum 24 hour advance notice.

• We can offer a completely Gluten Free and/or Dairy free menu for Private and Group Events.  If you have a gluten sensitivity or dairy issues or, even if you don't, you will find that the food is delicious and presented well.

• Minneapolis, MN's TV station KSTP Channel 5 News on October 26th, 2008 did an  'On the Road' show with Jason Davis that included a piece about Thayer's. Short interviews with Sharon Gammell, Sharon's assistant, Taunia Femrite, and Melinda Boltz a former employee who is now with Edina realty as an agent. • There are many things to see and do when you stay at Thayer's B&B; You can schedule a  Psychic reading with owner Sharon Gammell, get into character while enjoying one of our scheduled interactive Murder Mystery Dinners, take part in a Thayer's ghost investigation or... you can go snowboarding or down hill skiing at near-by Powder ridge or... go for a walk and enjoy the many lakes that are within walking distance. Antique shopping is fun and we are about a 20 minute drive to the Albertville Shopping Mall.

• There are many nice places to eat in the area, dinner clubs, sports bars and restaurants are all close by. Most places are a short 10 to 30 minute drive and there are a few eating places close enough you can walk to them.  

• Thayer's Historic Bed & Breakfast was originally built by Gus and Caroline Thayer in 1895 as a Rail Road Hotel with funding from the Soo line Rail Road. 

• Thayer's built as a balloon framed building along with its unique galleries, (porches) has been the focal point of this beautiful area since its construction in 1895. Annandale, Minnesota has been known as the place to recreate since the 1890's.

• The Annandale area offers beautiful lakes, golfing, boating, fishing and swimming plus hiking and birding at Lake Maria State Park.

• For antique lovers, a vast assortment of well stocked antique shops are close by and for power shoppers, the Albertville discount outlet mall is about 20 minutes away... did we already say that?

• Even though we offer extremely healthy food options, you need to know that Sharon continues to believe in the three basic food groups - butter, sugar and chocolate!! 

• It might be a good idea to mention to those of you not as familiar with Sharon and Thayer's that she does know how to be health conscious; she can prepare foods that are gluten and dairy free, heart healthy, vegetarian, Vegan  and foods for special diets -even macrobiotic, all you need to do is give a 48 hours advance notice and anything is possible... because if you are looking for or want healthy, Sharon is extremely good at preparing it.  

• Having your wedding and reception at Thayer's is a wonderful way to have a celebration that is elegant, personalized and totally yours. Not only is Sharon an amazingly talented and experienced chef and psychic, she is a wedding officiate too.
