do Thayer's Murder Mysteries work?

Thayer's Scheduled Murder Mystery Dinners are offered
about once a month on selected Saturday

Activities Calendar for dates

Murder Mystery
Dinners begin at 6:35pm and last about 3 hours
-
Prior to the
murder mystery dinner,
8 to 10 days prior to your event, we mail (via USPS) each person participating in the
murder mystery, an information packet
(A Personal & Confidential Character Profile) that includes a full
character description & costume ideas.

Guests
tell us that the
fun actually starts when you receive your Murder Mystery Dinner
Character information in the mail
-
When
making Murder Mystery Dinner arrangements for others, we must have everyone's
names and addresses.
-
Murder Mystery
Dinner Characters
are not gender specific.
-
You
may tell each other who your character is but, DO NOT tell
anyone what your character knows until you get to the
mystery.
-
PLEASE
DO NOT read anyone else's character profile.
-
You become
your 'character' when you put on your name tag
-
You have information about your
character and others that needs to be shared with
other participants during the
Murder Mystery Dinner.
-
so, yes, all the while dinner
is going on so is the Murder Mystery! and... Yes, you will be
'knocking someone off' maybe even more than one person! You
could be the
killer or you just might be killed or both!

After
the dastardly deed has been done, sometime during the
evening, it's time to solve the Mystery and find the
killer.

Murder Mysteries are designed to have fun! please, don't
get excited about mistakes. Our Murder Mysteries are written
so that when mistakes happen- it's OK.

offered about once a month that we already have pre-set
listed in our
Activities calendar

Scheduled
Mysteries are open to singles, couples and groups

We have a
collection of many plots and eras we use dating from 400BC
right up to today in our
Murder Mystery library.

Each
scheduled Murder Mystery Dinner has
different suspects, characters, victims and
murderers for every time they are played out. You can join in the fun
often and always be surprised with the
outcome!

recommend - just because it's FUN and saves you money.

You are welcome to purchasing a guest room and add a
scheduled Murder Mystery Dinner as another option.

When you choose to have a Private Murder
Mystery Dinner for you and your group an overnight stay
is NEVER required. but, if you want to stay we do
have a B&B package available.

what do we get to eat ?

Murder
Mystery Dinner Menus change to accommodate food requests and any
special dietary requirements that our guests may need. Here
is a menu we served not long ago:
 Appetizers

Fresh
strawberries, red seedless grapes and cheddar cheese bites, Deviled eggs,
fresh shrimp and sushi, plus marinated water chestnuts and bacon.
Soup
– Beer Cheese with popcorn
 Salad
- Thayer’s
wedged salad with Ranch peppercorn dressing

white and wheat swirl served with real butter

New York Steak finished with Wild Mushrooms and a peppercorn
cognac sauce - A tender cut of
aged Angus beef, moist and delicious; lightly
marinated and seasoned with just a hint of garlic.
Accompanied by wild rice pilaf and fresh
glazed veggies.
