Scheduled Afternoon Teas - information

• Thayer's B&B is not a restaurant - and advance arrangements are always necessary because Thayer's is NOT 'Open to the Public' 

• Scheduled Afternoon Tea dates may be found on our Activities Calendar

• Tea is served at 1:30pm and lasts about two hours. 

• Scheduled teas are fun for one person or many

• A tour of Thayer's guest rooms (depending on room availability) is included 

• Scheduled Afternoon Teas are two courses

• Cost is $25* per guest plus MN 6.875% Sales tax + a 20% automatic service gratuity charge that are applied to totals BEFORE any sale pricing, coupons or discounts are subtracted.

• Table-side palm readings are offered at our teas - Cost is $20 per guest.

• All events are prepaid. If a cancellation becomes necessary, we will work as best we can with you. See our contact us page for policy details.

Thayer's owner, gifted psychic & chef,

Sharon Gammell

Sharon is a self-taught gourmet chef of 35 plus years. She opened her first restaurant in 1980 and has had successful restaurants in Saint Paul, Lillydale, and Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Over the years Sharon has catered to groups as small as two and as large as 1,500.  

As the owner of Thayer's Historic Bed n' Breakfast since 1993, Sharon wears many hats. She is an internationally known and gifted psychic, an innkeeper, chef, wedding officiate, bookkeeper, maid, decorator, supervisor, and perfectionist so, whether she happens to be doing a psychic reading, setting up a menu, writing  wedding vows or a new murder mystery, teaching a class, making your bed, or preparing  breakfast, rest assured everything at Thayer's very meets high standards.

Private Afternoon Teas

• Advance arrangements are always necessary because Thayer's B&B is NOT 'Open to the Public" 

• Private Afternoon Teas require 10 guests minimum to a maximum of 50 guests

• Private Afternoon Tea menus are Chef's choice and include two courses.

• The cost for a Private Afternoon Tea is $30 per person plus automatically added are MN sales tax of 6.875% and a 20% service gratuity charge. No discounts apply.

• Included in the per-person cost are 2.5 hours of dining room rental and a complimentary guided tour of Thayer's.

• If additional rental time is needed for your event, more time is available at a cost of $200 per hour plus tax. Dining room rental time is charged in increments of one hour.

• Table-side palm readings with Sharon Gammell are available for an additional $20 per guest.

• Special Diets will be accommodated costs are as follows: 

Vegan Menu/$37++ per person, Vegetarian Menu/$35++ per person, Gluten Free Menu/$38++ per person, Dairy Free Menu/$38++ per person, Gluten & Dairy Free Menu/$42++ per person

• When full payment has been received by Thayer's, the date you have chosen, is secured; once a date is secured, they are not-exchangeable. 

• All Private Teas are prepaid. If a cancellation becomes necessary, we will work as best we can with you. See our contact us page for policy details.

• As payment we accept  VISA, Master Card, Discover,  cash and checks. When paying with a personal or company check, the check payment must clear your bank before the event date is yours.

• Children over the age of 8 may attend a private tea.
